In order to target micro- and macro-level discourse features, a Novel Approach to Real-life communication: Novel Intervention in Aphasia (NARNIA) was completed. Step 1: Word generation and sentence production were primed using action pictures. The client was able to produce *** nouns and *** verbs over *** trials. Then the client was able to produce simple sentence structures on *** / *** attempts. Step 2: The client completed planning for discourse using a visual framework for organization. The client was able to use the framework and add information with *** cues. Step 3: The client produced the planned discourse using the framework. Noun and verb generation were noted to be ***.
