Great explanation of the Script Training technique. It does describe the packet as “no further prep needed” but without set scripts, prep is needed. There is examples in the photos above to refer to, but not in the packet. I think it could use some common scripts.

Thanks for the feedback, Jessica! While the beauty of Script Training is the uniqueness of creating a script in session with each patient (unique to their needs!), I like the idea of including some examples of things I’ve done in the past. I will update and add for April 2018! Thanks!

Your script training approach was super helpful to prepare a home health client for her upcoming visit to the doctor. She was afraid she would not be able to confidently communicate her questions and concerns to the doctor . We prepared a written script and practiced in session several times. She was successfully able to address her questions and concerns regarding her medical condition. Script training is really a great intervention technique to use.
